I remember buying this album because the DC101 DJ said they were like Pearl Jam and I was trying to be in on the up and coming bands. Of course "Tomorrow" and "Suicidal Dream" were my favorites and it wasn't until years later when I was reminded of Silverchair by my freshman year roommate and then again by my younger sister that I really listened to more of their stuff. Say what you will but I really like Silverchair. The fact they they were teenagers when they broke through seemed so cool to me back then when we were the same age.
Musically, this song isn't a big stray from the "Silverchair Sound". Sometimes when songs start out slowly like this one does, I lose interest quickly. But Daniel Johns has an engaging voice and I can't explain why, and it's probably just me, but it makes me want to keep listening. I can't turn it off.
I like the parts where he has the high notes but I also like when the entire line doesn't stray far from a single note. A third of the way through there is a tempo change and eventually progresses to a slightly abrupt ending.

Unexpecting brother,
Doesn't know what to do,
When everything just falls to the ground, ohh,
He runs to find some cover,
He doesn't have a clue,
That his friend will never be found,
When he's informed, that he,
Will never see the boy,
Will never see the boy,
You'll never see him open his eyes,
We'll never see the boy,
Never see the boy,
You'll only hear his heavenly cries,
Ohh, yeah, ohhhh, ohhhhh, ohhhh,

Thinking of the past,
It's all over now,
Mother nature's striked once again,
It happened oh so fast,
Now the question's how,
How could they let that building descend,
Ohh, yeah, ohhhh,
You will never see the boy,
You will never see the boy,
You will never see him open his eyes,
You will never see the boy,
Never see the boy,
You'll only hear his heavenly cries,
Ohh, yeah, ohhhh, ohhhhh, ohhhh,
Yeah, no no never, no ohhh,

After your life, I leave, I'm dead,
Leading me off through the night,
If he's born again, I need you to find,
Need you to find, where he is.
